Description

Five men and women have found asylum in a retirement home in Athens, Greece. During their hiding, Markella recounts her struggles with agents of the international capital and the repeated attempts on her life. Another asylum seeker, Professor Polykratis seeks out others within the grounds of the home. These people describe their lives in a harsh society that illuminates the dark side of the Voracious. Meanwhile, the Voracious' American agents are working with the underground creating turmoil throughout central Europe.

Author Biography:

Argyris Calbaris was born in Trikala, Greece, in the 1930s. He studied economics in Athens and founded a company that manufactured and exported women's clothing to Europe and United States. Five years ago, he decided to write his memoirs about the harsh times in Greece during World War II and the German occupation. He has written seven books in the last six years, some have been translated into English.
