A rare melodious and rather magical French violin named Etienne Marie and her supreme quality bow named Francois Schnitzel, along with their precocious and intense young violinist named Clare, her Papillion dog named Moxie encounter intrigue and adventure in Venice, Italy. Clare is accompanied by her obnoxious cousin and his cello and bow named Luigi and Gigi after they win an instrumental audition. They, along with other young musicians, are to perform a benefit for the orphans of Venice. Clare and Carter and their pets must rescue and find Etienne and Schnitzel after they are stolen, enduring frustration and fright. Clare and Carter learn many lessons regarding the importance of family, pets, the power of prayer, along with meeting new friends and enjoying Venetian Carnival.
