"Finally an MMA game on the 360"
5 stars"

Any kiwi MMA fan by now has read about this game, it sounds like THQ is trying to get the most out of it (you get a choice of different fighting styles (Karate/BJJ/Wrestling…etc) you have different controllers for different situations eg standing/clinch/ground ) this is the MMA game to have and the pictures of the fighters (and refs/corner men/EVEN CUT MEN (eg stich) ) look realistic with a roster of over 80 fighters I don't think anyone is going to get bored of this soon…also has a create a fighter mode …NZ buy this and I will see you online!

"Let's GEDDIT ON!!!!"
4 stars"

The demo has been unleashed on the PSN and XBOX Live for download, and I must say, this game is and will be well worth the wait.

The demo features a tutorial for the new and old fans of the genre, to get accustomed with it's many controls. There's a lot to learn and you'll find yourself returning every so often to the tutorial for quick reminders.

The demo's Exhibition mode flows well and plays very realistically. The controls are very responsive and in-the-ring action is fast. If you blink for too long you'll either be on the ground trying to escape from a arm bar or sleeper hold, or you'll be watching the replay of a hard kick to the side of your players head, ending your game in a KO! The knockout's don't seem to be animated and look realistic, but the close-up animations during replays look to be canned (animated), taking away from an already good-looking game. The damage sustained, like cuts and swelling, look realistic, and blood ends up everywhere – on the canvas, your bodies – even if it's not yours.

The collisions are something else. Every punch and kick thrown will land, and not magically dissapear through your opponents body. Your limbs will collide with anything in it's path as it travels towards your opponents head (if that's what you're aiming for), and a clean shot will see him stunned giving you more opportunities to end the bout.

The game boasts a roster of more than 80 fighters which is a huge ask considering the detail on the player bodies, as well the environment. The commentary is second to none when it comes to any fighting game, but some lines will be repeated every now and then. Joe Rogan, more recognisable from the reality TV show Fear Factor, plays a part in the commentating.

If you're unsure about this type of game then log on to your network and try the free demo. I promise, with a little patience, you won't feel let down. “Let's GEDDIT ON!!!”.

"A must get!"
5 stars"

I have been waiting a while for a good MMA game and looks like THQ have finally put it together. I have watched alot of preview videos and the game play looks very good, Graphics look great and they actually pay tribute to the sport by incorporating all of the moves! If your a fan of UFC or any other fighting sport you will want to add this to your collection. I know i will =)

"Bring on Rampage..."
4 stars"

Got the demo today, been playing over over and over again… I know it might seem boring as you can only choose from 2 fighters, but its not, far from it. Each fight was different, it went for different lenght, different knockout, different fighting style.

Cant wait till i get the full game, it can go worse than whats shown in the demo. The gameplay is awesome, so the full version with over 80 fighters and create a custom fighter, is just going to top any fighting game out there now.

"Its Time! "
5 stars"

After the previously shameful attempts at a MMA game on the previous generation consoles I was skeptical a future MMA game would be near realistic until I saw the gameplay footage of the UFC undisputed game.

This game is awesome for MMA fans on all levels from Hardcore devotees to casual fans. The control system is very fluid and the fighters look lifelike to the real deal. What sucks about the online component is that people who disconnect and dont get punished is a let down and not much DLC content as of late. Other then that You will not regret spending your hard earned money on a game like this and night as well give Fight Night Round IV a miss.

"Give this game a try!"
5 stars"

Boy this game sure plays well, its pretty in depth when it comes to the moves set, and play style. Weather you are a hard hitter striker, ground in pound or submission type player this game has it all.

Takes a while to get to grips with the styles and moves, there is a lot to learn, but once you get through the basics you really see how much depth this game covers.

Pretty exciting when you have a game where at any time a knock out or submission could happen and win the match.

Apart from the load times between screens (gets a bit annoying during the career mode) this game should satisfy most gamers after a quick fix or who want to get some good game time.

Definitely worth trying as I am sure you won't be disappointed with your purchase.

"Bring it On "
5 stars"

This is the first time I've played an MMA Inspired video game and for the current generation consoles. I only got into UFC like this time last year. This game is by far the best UFC Simulation to date (apart from those shameful) previous generation attempts. The game has your favourite MMA stars like Forrest Griffin Wanderlei Silva, Anderson Silva, Brock Lesnar and many more. Worth every cent of the price of the game I bought. I hope they make it a sucessful franchise for THQ.

"A good start and an alternative to Fight Night"
4 stars"

A very promising start for a good franchise. The graphics, collision detection and ballance are all very good. One thing against it is that all the fighters are very similar and if you know the real life characters sometimes they don't really feel right. Strikers using submissions and grapplers being as good striking as specialists. Comparing to wrestling games there is room for improvement but it really is an impressive start and the control scheme is top notch. If you are a Fight Night or Wrestling game fan you should like this and if you are a UFC fan it's a no brainer. Career mode and Exhibitions provide hours of entertainment single player and then there is Xbox Live online play. Unfortunately the game does not punish online ranked match disconnections so online can be a pain with disconnectors.
