These headphones are the best I have had.I haven't used them on a xbox but used it for pc and you get really get sound quality and lower sounds that normal headphones dont pick up on.The thing I love about them most is the ability to use them for long periods of time and not get sore ears these are definitely for you.

The best headset if ever brought. Excellent sound quality and Xbox live chat is clear and crisp. The x12 is ergonomically perfect. Audio 10/10

Well this headset is my third, previously I had the XLC's however these broke so I decided to upgrade. The shipping was a bit slow (didn't arrive on promised date) but hey, whatever. In general the headset is fine with long leads that may sometimes get a bit annoying. I found the volume controls a little annoying as I sometime rub/bump them, changing the volume. Overall: Great Headset for Xbox communication and game audio.

besides some times hitting the volume rocker and chat rocker when playing games this is awesome as good for any shooting games where people try sneak up ion you or hide behind corners you can hear them:D helps me own in gears of war 3;)

This headset is affordable but supreme in quality and sound.

Can't charge controller and talk at the same time because of the interference. Terrible!!!

Tried the Trittron which never worked for us, but this product is turely awesome the sound is amazing for online.

These are an awesome headset for a reasonable price, The bass is awesome! when explosions are going of around me it sounds insane! and the crisp highs are epic :O!

I bought this headset a while back a recently it has gone and broke on me but that's fine cause I easily used it for a few thousand hours and I am so glad I made this purchase and I may buy another right now but to anyone looking at buying a gaming headset that is really good for a affordable price this is the way to go.

For me, the surround sound headsets were too much, but having built a new PC, I decided to get these as well. Fantastic price, really comfortable, works excellently on my Xbox and my PC, makes playing BF3 or Bioshock intense. Mike is great and the fact that you can hear your own voice played back means you never end up shouting. Build quality is good, study stuff and neat simplistic green design. The top sits slightly weirdly on my head, but that might just be me. Bass is good, and can be pumped up. Basically, they're affordable, strong and have all the basic features you need and want in a gaming headset. Nothing fancy, just good stuff.

I had a set of Turtle Beach headphones (think it was a X10– Not sure). I got them second hand so they were a little dated. The mic was making a horrible crackling noise to my friends on-line so it was time I got a new set.

This set, the X12, is absolutely brilliant! Stand out features for me are:

The sound quality is fantastic. I’ve noticed a big improvement over my old set. The added base boost is great. Can really here those footsteps!

The control is much more solid. The mic mute is really hard to accidentally bump on/off. Its good a good firm “click” to its action

The over all construction is great. It feels really robust. Great for those rage quitters out there. I also really like how the mic can be rotated up out of the way of your mouth when you are playing off-line

Its comfortable. It fits snugly on my head. But not so tight that I get sore ears – my ears are normal sized ;)

5 Star product. Highly recommend.

I've had a few headsets but this is properly the best one, I can actually hear people clearly with my shitty net :D, but it does get uncomfortable after a long period of time.

I was using the Xbox chat headset coupled with just the TV stereo and, in comparison this headset is AMAZING. You can change the volume of gameplay and chat so everything is specific to what you want. Definitely recommended!

These are awesome! Loud, clear and full of bass. You can hear foot steps of emimies, you know exactly where everything (people and shots) are coming from and the bass gives those gunshots a real BOOM! On/Off Mic option is great. Volume control in the amp connected to the cord for quick access. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

Good set of headphones, defiantly amplifies game sound so you hear things conventional speakers don't put out. Slight issue with a little static at times. That may just be my leads. All round good headset

(Using on PC) I bought these when they were on special for around $75. They are much more comfier than the THX Headphones I had previously which cost twice the amount. The sound quality is pretty good, but there is a limited amount of customisation/twe­aking you can do. It is limited to a bass boost dial. Microphone is perfect, clear and audible. I would highly recommend these headphones, especially if you can get them on special!

This headset is absolutely incredible. The game audio and chat audio are both crystal clear, and sound amazing. These really help to get those few extra kills, with the ability to hear people coming around the corner. (especially if you're using Sitrep Pro in MW3). Don't be fooled by the more expensive headsets, as I have tried a $400 pair, and the sound quality is THE EXACT SAME. Overall, these are amazing headphones, and the price tag adds to that too.

If you are using this headset for pc I would not recommend it, there are several problems with using this headset. The first problem I noticed was there was a constant humming noise from the headset and people in Skype complained about hearing loud background noise and the mic didn't sound very good anyway. But on the other hand using this with the xbox was very good and all the problems you have on pc don't seem to be there when plugged into the xbox. Anyway this headset is good for xbox but very bad for pc.

This headset produced supreme sound until the speakers stopped functioning without even a years passing, terrible quality.

They are good just annoying that we have had to get another part for them to work through hdmi as the part u need to that dose not come with them and that should of been written in the description also the picture made them look way wireless than what the are, they have heaps cords that have to be plugged in. Other than that they are fine.

In modern society, people pay alot of money for something because it has a big name plastered all over it, even if the product itself is pure rubbish.

But with this headset…its a well respected name, and a nice lowish price, but dont fooled into thinking its relativly cheap because its no good…

Because this headset is amazing the sound is just jaw droppingly good, its very loud but it doesnt burst your eardrums, its comfortable, good looking, sturdy and it comes with a sticker!

This is the level of quality and excellence I would only expect to see in the most expensive headsets, but I found it in a headset under 100 bucks and it has a big brand on it!

Very happy with this headset, great value for its price range. The lead's about a km long, so if you want to be able to walk to the dairy for some milk while your still chatting then this is the headset for you! :)

Does what its meant to do.

This headset was by far one of the best headsets I've ever had, it was also really good for console gaming, Xbox 360, PS3 etc.

The PX22 is better, get that headset instead.

Great headset, good mic quality and sound quality, definatly can get some good bass on it for a headset. I bought this headset and it lasted me 1 year before the wires started fraying and then one of the head phones stopped working but I loved it so much i bought another one which lasted me 1 year before the wire started freying again but this time i accidently stood on it and broke the ear cup rather than the wire ruining the headset so overall its a great headset but wires and overall build could possibly use some work especially if your a little rough with it like me or plan to use it on multiple devices not just leave it plugged into the one pc 24/7, and it has 3 cables (mic jack, usb and sound jack) that you need to plug in so it does get tangled and messy and you might end up pulling the wires a little bit eventually at which point the headset dies pretty quickly.

Love the new headset, comfortable and awesome sound. Got the best price in nz for them too. Excellent

great quality head set for reasonable price. love the fact that you can boost the bass, great for music and games alike. only downside is there is a slight “hum” when no sound is coming through the speakers due to the mic monitoring but cant hear it when you are playing a game or listening to music

Great headset and the mic is very clear

This is the third mid to low priced Turtle Beach headset I have owned. Each has proved well worth the price for the quality of the sound reproduced. The X-12 is great for everyday gaming, Skype chatter and playing music. The bass boost does just that and should be treated with caution if used for prolonged listening as there is a likelihood of post-concert ear-humming induced at high volumes (choice!!). All-in-all a well priced and good quality everyday headset to shut yourself away from the noises of everyday with. One slight demerit over the X-11 predecessor is the lack of comfortable fitting if you wear spectacles, as I do..

I bought this product for my son, He is a big gamer and loves this headset. Good value for money.

I got this for my brother and he loves them, they are such good quality. The sound is amazing. It's easy to set up and the cable is quite long so it means you don't have to sit so close to the TV.

Over all my brother is exceptionally happy! He is constantly using them. He even hugged the box when he opened it! :)

Bit of a nightmare to set up as doesn't show up as a device like my old PX21's. Can't adjust sound for chat and game individually like you could on PX21's. Also volume box doesn't have a clip on the back of it so it just hangs there probably putting stress on wires going to speakers. Doesn't sit on head properly I have to wear a cap to stop them sliding forward.

Great headset, the clarity is amazing. This headset allows me to hear everything that surrounds me, I can hear enemies from all angles and am able to act accordingly.

I've been using a razer kraken pro, and i'm not sure if it's because i've got this big head or it's just not made for long hour gaming.. It crushes my skull when I use it. But this turtle beach headset is so light weight and got a much better mic too! the sound is just amazing, both for gaming and music-making! i'm so happy! and Mighty Ape got the best staffs, they're super helpful, i'm so happy!

Easily one of the best budget headsets on the market, I have little to no issues with it at all. Cheap enough to replace if you antecedently run over it with a desk chair or something… Great audio quality

I have used these headsets for ages, I like the fact that you can hear yourself through them when you chat (It helps me stop yelling into the mic while I game), you can hear in all directions with the sound and you can adjust the game and the voice chat volumes seperately which is sick as too, my only negative toughts on this headset is it hurt my ears after a few hours of gaming, I have big ears though..

Leads are nice and long however you may Need some form of cable management. DOES NOT INTERFACE DIRECTLY WITH XBOX. Luckily I had an old adaptor cable that I could pop the shell off. Aside from that though great product.

I love the increased base and being able to hear much more in game :-)

They are easy to wear for hrs and sound good but I do notice some static noise wen not ingame

This headset is one of the cheapest on the market and the headset provides good quality sound, the mic isnt bad and people can hear you clearly on programs like skype and teamspeak. If your not used to wearing a headset this may hurt your ears or head after extended use but they get more comfortable over time.

Had it for 2 years was really good till I stepped on the right headphone and broke it

As for the Headset itself, if u r using them for your PC they might produce a noticeable static noise, (seems to be very common on PC / Xbox charge and play, if u google it u can find tons of post about this problem ) it gets really annoying after a while especially if u listening to music with them. I heard that the noises can be reduced if another usb port (apart from your PCs) is used, but it didnt work for mine anyway. Apart from this issue, the headset dose produce powered brass and quality sound effects, not a bad option for its price.

If you're looking for a nice, decent, good quality headset. You should probably go with this.

For the price the sound is amazing, overall they deliver more than I expected. A must for late night gamers. Thanx mighty ape once again great product at a great price.

Alright but have crackling in headset and it is uncomfy to wear.

Good bass sound, great mic quality. Have been using these for Xbox live parties and listening to music.

Great bass and surround sound in these cans, good control unit and simple to get going, comfortable for longer gaming sessions too! Really happy with these would definitely recommend to others.

I will give turtle beach headphones a 3/5. They are quality headphones but nothing special. The base and sound quality is average but good enough. I am also having this fuzzing problem which I think I know how to solve but still turtle beach headphones… I expect better from them (nothing against mighty ape.)

Caus they're a Krissy pres, could only take em out of the box briefly, before my son saw em, so I had to make the sound affects myself… But they felt good, look great and transformed me into a cyborg warrior…

Well these are great. Cannot speak more highly of them. Ezi setup..i use these on pc just what ya need for cod..blackops 2…bring on the ghosts hell yeah !

For me these headphones did for audio on xbox what the HD cable did for visuals. Then add the bonus of headset sound control despite the volume of the TV for other people in the room and chat volume to cut kids that babble during games. The bass control is next level too, not to mention the huge price drop.

The inability to disable the microphone monitoring (feedback echo) makes an otherwise good product into an unusable product for many

This headset is very reliable and provides excellent sound quality for such a low price! Before I owned this headset, I payed just over $200 for a pair of 7.1 surround sound Trittons, which I found to be a waste of money as they broke rather easily. I then purchased these for $80 and it was such a great decision! The audio is so crisp and features an awesome adjustable base boost. Even though this a stereo headset, it is hardly inferior to those surround sound Trittons. Let's not forget that this headset is also very light and comfortable, and is still working perfectly for me after a year of owning them. If you're looking for a great headset and don't intend to spend too much money then this is the headset for you!

Very good sound, good base and definition, Mike has good pickup and voice reproduction. One draw back. The cushioning on the ears is not really good enough so it becomes uncomfortable after a couple of hours.

Easy to set up and great to use best headset yet

First of all let just say I'm not a headphone expert. I usually don't use headphones and I certainly couldn't tell you the best makes and models. I usually play all my games with the sound coming through the TV, so as you can imagine when I put on the Turtle Beach Ear Force X12 headphones, I wasn't expecting to be amazed. After all, it's only sound.

How wrong was I-

After loading up Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and jumping in to a quick game of the Onslaught mode, I immediately noticed a whole new dimension to the sounds that I didn't even know were there. Whenever I'd run, I'd hear the little metal clinks of his equipment swaying around. Whenever I fired the shotgun it sounded like an absolute beast. There's just that extra crunch and ferocious roar in each blast that you simply don't get when you have the audio coming out of the TV.

And building collapses – building collapses sound absolutely terrifying. Either I forgot how good it usually all sounds or the X12 headphones really do make the audio just that much better. There's a small control unit on the wire which gives you dials for bass, game volume, chat volume and an option to mute the microphone. Originally the bass was set to the minimum, but after turning it up, the sounds became a lot punchier and it just sounded great. I would highly recomend it 2 my friends :)

Bought this headset after my other dropped dead within 2weeks of buying. Great sounds and all. Well worth the money, though I spent more than I wanted. Recommend to anyone

This headset has is awesome, its has great sound and the bass booster is a nice feature, the cord is very long, the headset is very comfortable and does not hurt your head after a long time like other headsets, the microphone has excellent sound and the sound from your voice replays through the headset so you know what you sound like, for the price this headset is a steal

These head phones are worth purchasing if you are interested in on/off gaming and don't want expense.

They have a slight hiss when running and require USB to power otherwise their bass and sound will be exceedingly low, but the hiss does seem to stop when sound is going through. I dont recall the volume rocker changing the hiss levels.

They sound great on professional sound cards for their price, music and games are good too.

Footsteps are quite loud and obvious.

Very comfortable wear for long term. They don't feel heavy but feel like they are quality for what you get.

The dongle is a bit low and there have been complaints about rubbing against the knobs… Its true would be nice for a clip to use but its not unmanageable if you are reasonable about it.

Three volumes: chat, bass and volume. I had to vary the volume from device to device but mostly I kept the bass at high volume.

Some notes I found about the bass, its quite impressive on high volume but sometimes it feels like you have to press the phones against your ears to get more pronounced bass.

I also watched a buddy keep his hands over the phones so that verified my thoughts. Its not a game killer to be personally honest its just an annoyance if you want to be more immersed in bass…

The chat headset part is very easy to move and seems sturdy enough and bends with ease.

Small sound seepage on high volume but its not likely to be too annoying; closed ear design means if others speak to you chances are you wont hear them.

For the price I must say it is quite a formidable audio accessory. Very good for voice chat with friends as it delivers clear sound.
