Description

Turbo the Turtle likes to go FAST! He likes to eat fast, talk fast, and play video games fast! His favorite thing in the world is RACE CARS! Some things are harder for Turbo to do fast like jumping rope, eating ice cream, and reading books. He has trouble with the letters and sometimes can't quite understand what he read. He decides to avoid all the things he can't do fast, but then he spots a book in a bookstore window called How to Build a Mini Race Car. Oh boy! That would be a dream come true! Turbo buys the book and asks his uncle, who owns a car shop, to help him. His uncle agrees and helps Turbo learn how to read and understand the book. Turbo's uncle tells him, "Just like a race car, sometimes you have to use the brakes and slow down!" This story is an uplifting adventure about finding Super Youneek ways to help children with ADHD and/or Dyslexia read, grow, and learn!

Author Biography:

I believe every child should see themselves in a book, so I created a children's book series called 'Super Youneek Beast' for that exact reason. Growing up in a tiny southern town, I was considered to be the "different" kid. With characteristics like being plus-sized, covered in freckles, bright red hair, expressive, and artistic - it was easy to stand out in a crowd. Sometimes that idea is not always embraced in our society and it can be hard to be different. It took me a while to figure out that my uniqueness is wonderful and I only wish to help children discover that magical truth far sooner than I did. My goal with these books is to encourage children to celebrate what makes us ALL unique.
