Author Frederick Fuhrmaneck was born and raised in Baltimore and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. most of his working career was spent with Bethlehem Steel in Sparrows Point, Maryland. Although raised as a Catholic, he had stopped attending church by age seventeen, but in 1969 he became a born-again Christian. Now retired, he devotes his time to church visitations and outreach to entire families.
