If you are a fan of Troma, or of low-budget (even no-budget!) horror flicks in general, then you'll want to check out this collection of Troma gems which, to my knowledge, haven't been available in NZ until now. “Blades” is a blatant “Jaws” rip-off which knows better than to take itself seriously. The result is really quite fun! “Blood Hook” is one of those films that is so ludicrous that you have to persevere til the end. It's the usual killer-in-holiday-park slasher theme, but this time the killer literally hooks his prey with a fishing rod! The fishing rod battle at the end has to be seen! “Zombie Island Massacre” is one of those flicks whose title suggests more than what actually happens. Ignore the title and sit back for some average entertainment in this one. All up, it's fun and stupid and really quite enjoyable if you enjoy these obscure gems!
