Author Biography

Lucy Willis studied at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art in Oxford, then taught drawing and etching at the Aegean School of Fine Art in Greece. She won the BP Portrait Award in 1992 and now exhibits her work widely. She lives in Bridgwater, Somerset. Robin Capon is an experienced author and art journalist, having written several books, including with co-authors, David Curtis: Light and Mood in Watercolour 9780713489552 and Abstract and Colour Techniques (with Claire Harrigan) 9780713490558. He is a regular contributor to 'The Artist' and 'Leisure Painter'. He lives in Lostwithiel, Cornwall.

Author Biography:

Lucy Willis has a large following in both the UK and the USA. She has had numerous solo exhibitions at the Chris Beetles Gallery in London’s West End and at many other prestigious galleries in the UK. She regularly writes for The Artist magazine and teaches on their workshops and painting holidays.This book is written in conjunction with Sally Bulgin, editor of the UK Artist magazine. Sally is also the author of Acrylics Masterclass and Oils Masterclass, both published by HarperCollins
