It is to be noted that Sophocles substituted for Euripides's real, the synonymous It is possible that another Euripidean Situation in which the scenic business must have been decidedly good - viz. The scene where Medea makes Aegeus take oath - may have been likewise before sopho cles's mind in writing Trade. 1181 sqq. But it is not certain.
