"Poor at any reasonable distance"
2 stars"

This card will work fine if you're close to your router, in my old flat I was about 3m away and separated by a single wall. It worked great. At my next house I'm about 8m away, and there's a few brick walls in the way. It gets 2–3 bars, but speeds of about 0.2 Mbps. I ended up having to use my Macbook for wifi, and then share it with my desktop via ethernet to get proper speeds.

"Hesitant at first, but 100% confident now"

Absolutely fantastic card. Reading a few reviews it seemed generally good, however people did have occasional issues with it which made me a little cautious about getting it. I figured at only $30 it wouldn't be a huge loss if it didn't perform well. However it's exceeded my expectations. Speeds are maxed out where possible without any disconnections yet. Highly recommended!

"Signal is a bit ****"
3 stars"

I've been using this for a month or so, my laptop gets full bars in the same spot. This gets 1–2 bars and occasionally disconnects, but if I turn my desktop 90 degrees I get 3 bars which is still pretty bad. I wouldn't recommend but if your just using it for streaming videos, and normal browsing then this will be fine.

"Gets the job done... almost"

I've bought this as an el-cheapo solution to my desktop's lack of wireless connectivity, just until I can afford something higher-range. It's fairly easy to install, even for somebody like me who's never been near a PCI-E slot in their life. And I am now connected to the home wireless network… but the perks kind of end there.

The poor range and ~50–75% cut to speeds were to be expected in this price range, but I have neverending disconnection problems were it loses the home network after 15 minutes of being AFK… meaning I can't leave it downloading updates, software or games through Steam whilst I'm not there, or it'll just lose connection, requiring me to return to restart or resume progress.

"A really solid wireless card."

Easy to install. Drivers loaded fine and we were up and running in no time. So far we have had no drop out and the speeds have been good. All in all a great buy and recommended. Mighty Ape was easy to buy from and delivery was prompt, definitely recommend them!

Great speed easy to install although I did have a problem where the software would kick me out of anything full screen every time the screensaver was supposed to kick in, conflicting program's- Idk. Fixed it now though.

"Do not play games with this"

Purchased on Mighty Ape

This is fine for Netflix and general downloads but it cannot provide a stable enough connection during games which results in constant rubber banding, lag spikes and even disconnections.

Better then expected as per the other reviews, im about 3m away and through 3 walls and get about 70% signal, I would recommend to others especially for the price.

"Good cheap wireless card"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

If you are rather close to your wireless access point, like 2–5 meters then this is what you are looking for. Any further, and you would be better off getting a more expensive card as the wireless range is pretty terrible.

"Not Worth It"
2 stars"

Have had this as part of a prebuilt “gorilla rig” I purchased from here back in 2017 and always wondered why my WiFi was poor on my PC vs my phone; turns out this is only 300mbps. Will be looking at upgrading very soon.

Anyone who has this, it's not bad as a starting point but you should most definitely upgrade, especially in 2024. Good for Netflix or downloading small files, but severely bottlenecks if you have WiFi 6 speeds at home, work, or wherever you're connected.

"So much faster than before!"

As some have mentioned, this seems to be getting a bad rep. I'm not experiencing any issues, it's actually more reliable than my last pc with a TP-link wifi adapter. This one is rocking it with awesome download speeds.

"Fantastic Perfomance for the Price."

This wireless adapter is excellent for the price. Quick and speedy connection and doesn't break the bank.

"Decent Wifi Card"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I cant connect my PC to our internet through an Ethernet cable so I got this and its decent. I havn't had any issues with it. The signal isn't great but its definitely enough. For the price it's good and is exactly what I needed. So thanks Mighty Ape.

"Does it's job"

This wifi card works perfectly, no issues that I have discovered. However, I would recommend using ethernet instead of buying a wireless card if you have that option.
