Author Biography

Alastair Mullis is Professor of Law and Head of the School of Law at the University of Leeds, UK. He has written widely on the subject of Tort Law, particularly on the law of defamation, and he is the joint General Editor of Gatley Libel and Slander. Ken Oliphant is Professor of Tort Law at the University of Bristol, UK. His many writings in the area include the revision and updating of the title on Tort for the fifth edition of Halsbury's Laws of England. Sandy Steel is a Fellow and Tutor in Law at Wadham College, University of Oxford, UK. For his article 'Justifying Exceptions to Proof of Causation in Tort Law', he was awarded the Modern Law Review's Wedderburn Prize in 2016, and his work has been cited by the UK Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia.
