"No sequel, but OK by itself."
5 stars"

If you're new to the Rainbow Six games and don't already own Vegas, this is the title to have. The last review is accurate in that it's not a terribly convincing sequel, especially when it's full game price. However, if you are new to the series, there's no two ways about it – the extra features and play styles make it the pick of the litter.

I've been hammering Vegas 2 both via LAN and internet, and it plays very nicely indeed. Of course, the only thing that disappoints me is that Terrorist Hunt is limited to four players (of course this is because sending ten dudes in would be haphazard at best) otherwise, brilliant.

The system requirements seem high, but in reality it's playable on a fairly broad list of machines, I've seen it playable on old Pentium 4 3.06 setups with antiquated Radeon video hardware and modern Core2 Quad and 8800GTX setups alike.

Great for LANs as a wind-down title after the bulk of the gaming is done. I highly recommend this title.

Having only recently gotten into the Tom Clancy series of games (rainbow Six,Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell) I am now hooked to the great gameplay they all involve.
Vegas 2 is a great, fun and intense shooter which makes you use your brain as well.
For $30 worth every cent and then some! A must have.

"really good"

Vegas 2 is really fun not revolutionary in anyway but it is not meant to be. It improves on the original in everyway. The commands to control your team mates are simple and easy to use and the story is not half bad. Multiplayer is where it really stands out, much improved from the first one.

"New Patch, new improvements."

Just thought I should update my review since patch 1.03 was released, they fixed alot of the problems like enemies in Terrorist Hunt spawning ontop of you (you enter the room then they spawn all around you, end of story), now they spawn before, in death matches you can choose random respawning or respawning in your teams area, they also added a grenade detector (so to speak), if a damaging grenade like a frag or incendiary lands near you and you are within damaging range it will warn you where it is with an arrow, flash grenades and smoke grenades are still a risk though, and now they have added extra ranks, you get nothing for them which kind of sucks, but at least now you get a better idea of who will be a challenge (Elite 1–100, A.C.E.S. goes up to 100 as well, you just get more experience for gaining levels tough, I would of personally liked more Camo/Custom Camo slots, Not much but better than nothing). Just to add, they also got rid of those annoying error reports that if ignored, can take up a lot of hard drive space (Decided to take a look in my R6V2 directory and the error reports totaled 15GB, not big now but in a few more crashes…).

Reason why its not 5 stars, Ubisoft have disappointed me yet again with this 2 part thing and the constant console ports, they make us pay twice for 1 game which means the story for both Vegas 1 and 2 is too short. Nice.

"Same as R6: Vegas"

More of a waste of money if you got the other one, theres not really any new weapons as far as I could tell, the only real change is that the rank-up system is now a universal thing not just multi player so even after you've finished the story theres more to do to level up and get all the weapons especially if you LAN alot, the story is lacking and as short as the previous, if you do buy it don't buy it for the SP, I've had alot of fun with the multi player, not that good at it but still have fun with it but it seems the ranking systems a little off, I'm not that good yet I'm almost the final rank. All in all this game is a rip off if you bought the previous game, its basically the same no real updates except the universal ranking system and the finale of the game, Ubisoft really show there true colours here, cutting off the story at a cliff hanger on an already short story just to make you cough up an extra $100 for a lame attempt at a sequel.
