A beautiful story about the cultural divide in Japan post war I highly recommend it. Just buy it you won't be sorry.

Rated as one of the best films ever – and it is. In the same category as Ordet, Days of Wrath, The Third Man, In the Mood for Love, Rashomon, Contempt, etc.

You will not be disappointed with this classic Japanese drama. It is a classic story told in true Japanese Cinema style.
I have seen this film several times and have loved it. It is great to actually own it and see it whenever I want to.
