Description

The present edition is a translation of two lectures given by Academician V. P. Filatov in 1953. Lecture one is a historical review, methods of tissue therapy, and clinical observations. Lecture two is theoretical foundations of tissue therapy. Tissue therapy - the new method of treatment for various diseases which I suggested in 1933 - has found wide application both in the Soviet Union and abroad... Tissue therapy is based on therapeutic application of tissues stored in a state of 'survival, ' i.e., in conditions of a delayed and lowered vitality. The idea of the therapeutic properties of these 'stored' tissues suggested itself during work on another important problem of medical science, that of combating blindness and disableness due to leucoma. - V. P. Filatov
