Description

Excerpt from Thirty-Fifth Anniversary Report of the Secretary: Report IX, June, 1919 The recent ending of the European war seemed to suggest this as an opportune time for recording, while interest was still vivid, the various activities of members in connection with the war. Many of these are now shown by our records to have been of distinct importance and value, accomplished in one instance, that of Plummer, at the cost of life itself. It seemed appropriate to mention briefly the war activities of the children Of members in so far as they were performed with military, naval or allied organizations, on the ground that such chronicle would be of interest to the members in general as well as to the parents themselves. The membership of the Class comprises one hundred and eighty-two now living, - one hundred and Sixty-three regu lar, thirteen temporary, and six associate members. Since the eighth report was published in 1914, eleven mem bers have died, -ten regular and one temporary.
