"Excellent parody of how things work"
4 stars"

Once you get the concept of this book under your belt, you'll see how clever it is. Randall has limited himself to the 1,000 most common words in the English language to explain complicated stuff, hence a Hydrogen Thermo-Nuclear explosive device is now a “machine for burning cities”. Very well put together, and the illustrations are very well detailed. From an engineering point of view, it's highly recommended
