If you're a Thief/sneaky/ste­althy fan, then you should look into this game! The graphics are beautiful, the story is good & its quite a lot of fun.

Like any game however, it has its flaws of which most have been covered with patches released thus far.

The best feature in my opinion to keep it true to the original fans is allowing the game to be made HARDER from the start, with plenty of options/challenges that can be had.

What I do not like is the feeling of having to do “certain actions” in order to “achieve” a certain method of winning a mission. There is no outcome that I am aware of (having not finished the game yet) but there is that feeling of “oh damn, if only I did this …”

However, if you don't let those things phase you then you can really get lost inside this grungy world of stealth, murder, hidden mysteries and misdemeanours!

If you are a fan of the series then steer away. This game is insulting to the classics of thief 1,2 and 3.

The game is buggy and at times broken, either with AI screw ups or audio repeating e.g. guard dialog repeats forever.

The gameplay is cookie cutter and does nothing to steer away from the usual ‘see through all walls’ and handholding stealth mechanics.

This game is nothing but a cash grab that thankfully failed and is already hitting the bargain bin, soon to be forgotten. Completely unremarkable.

Thief (2014) really isn't anything special. It's like the originals, but with fancy first-person animations, dumbed-down guards, more linear levels, and plenty of handholding.

This is an awesome game that I highly recommend to people who enjoy stealth games or want to give them a try

Disappointment comes to mind, however it does play well and have decent AI, pretty visuals and a bit of replayability.

If you have not played the other thief games, I Recommend playing this first as it won't sour the experience.

Although this game may not appeal to many, this game does have its merits in my opinion. Why you ask- Because I love stealth games, so yes I would look pass Thief imperfection and enjoy stealing stuff. On the side note I never played the other Thief titles so yeah enjoying what I have.
