Mike Durant, a single, forty-year old school custodian lives life simply, quietly, and comfortably in Westwood, a small community outside Cleveland. He's not looking for a relationship, but fellow church member and co-worker, Nina Reynolds captures his attention. Over time their love blossoms, but Mike's unresolved questions about his past and his unspoken anger towards his parents, threatens their happiness. Mike knows his parents were teens when he was born, but no one has ever explained why they didn't raise him or why they didn't take custody of him when given the opportunity. A slip of the tongue by his pastor puts Mike on the path to the truth and on a collision course with his parents.
