Author Biography:

Catherine Spooner is Senior lecturer in English at Lancaster University, UK. Her publications include Fashioning Gothic Bodies (MUP, 2004) and Contemporary Gothic (Reaktion 2006). Emma McEvoy lectures at the University of Westminster, UK. She has published work on various Romantic and Gothic texts and contributed to the OUP edition of Matthew Lewis' The Monk (1995).
