"Live long and Prosper"

Well this one is catching the Catan ways as well as the original series. Selecting a strategy, stepping on the path of prosperity is not nearly enough to get you to the finish line. Lucky/Unlucky throws on the dice can swing the lead more than you might think by first glance. Fun to play after several times as well, not getting to a boring who starts wins style.

Warning : If you can't handle the luck of the dice, you migth not want to play this one.

"A great two-player game."

This newest version of Catan has more options for play than its predecessor. The concepts are all the same and its easy to pick up the new rules. It allows you to play a quick basic game, or a more complex theme-based duel of princes. Overall, it's just a great two-person game.

"Not as fun as Settlers of Catan"

The game feels like it's more random than the full version of Catan and it didn't seem to require much interaction between players.

An amazing 2-player game. My partner and I play all the time. The core game itself comes with a couple of expansions but we love the game so much we ended up buying both of the expansion boxes. Depending on the expansion deck it takes us between 40–60 minutes.
