Description

Motivate your struggling students to read for pleasure with exciting fiction and non-fiction at exactly the right level. Most suitable for students aged 11-14. Teenager Frankie Stine wants to know two things: why is he dead and who brought him back to life? Also, why does he seem to have someone else's legs? It quickly transpires that Frankie's death was no accident. With the help of a new friend, Frankie is soon on the trail of his killer. Can they catch him before Frankie's parents come to any harm? This comic horror story is written by Barry Hutchison, winner of the Scottish Children's Book Award, 2012.

Author Biography

Barry Hutchison hails from the Highlands of Scotland, where he spends time writing screenplays, comics and scary children's books. He is in his early thirties - but on a good day could easily pass for mid-forties - and lives happily with his long-term partner and young son. He is tall - but not like the BFG or that - and likes seafood, comics and Elvis, though not necessarily in that order. Alan Gibbons trained as a teacher and through working with young people discovered his literary voice. He started writing fiction for his pupils and published his first novel in 1993. Alan has also appeared on the BBC education programme Writer's Block, the Blue Peter Book Awards, radio 4's Front Row, and is a regular contributor to TES, Junior Education, Carousel, Books for Keeps and other journals.
