HENRY LOWENSTEIN, PH.D. is professor of management and law and former dean of the Wall College of Business at Coastal Carolina University. A native of Richmond, Virginia, he previously was dean of business and public administration at California State University, Bakersfield and chair of the California State Universities Association of Business Deans. Professor Lowenstein received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has written many academic articles on law and public policy, has been a consultant to federal, state and local governments, has served in executive management and board positions in a variety of industries and has received numerous awards for public service and for academics. As masterfully demonstrated in his book The Rescue Man, Professor Lowenstein has an enthusiastic love of history and writing.
