The first two episodes were okay, but got much more interesting after that. As others have pointed out, while it looks a lot like Star Trek it never quite is, which is maybe part of a bigger joke. It's not as hilarious as a dedicated comedy, it is more of a comedy drama, so it has its comedy moments and its dramatic moments. They get the balance about right, and they tackle some contemporary social questions as well, as good science fiction often does.

Fantastic story and very well made, funny and yet makes you think. Great acting plus special effects. Hard to stop watching as it's very addictive.
Much better than I was expecting. Its a light hearted homage to Star Trek from the mind of Seth MacFarlane creator of Family Guy. With some actually good stories too. Highly recommend you check this out if like Star Trek and other such like shows you wont be disappointed
Excellent show. A good mix of Star Trek type science fiction with some of Seth MacFarlane's unique brand of humour.
