Excerpt from The Law's Disposal of a Person's Estate Who Dies Without Will or Testament: Shewing in a Clear, Plain, Easy, and Familiar Manner, How a Man's Family or Relations Will Be Entitled to His Real and Personal Estate, by the Laws of England, and Customs of the City of London and Province of York Tux reception, and univerfal approbation, this imprefiion met with from the Public in general, and gentlemen of the profeflion, incontrovertibly teliified its merit very fhortly after it came out of prefs, in March 1785; near fifteen hundred copies thereof, being fold in the courfe of a few months after; and the fale of three other editions from the a5th of March 1786, to the 23d of January 1788, is an indifputable tellimony of the utility thereof, and the additions made thereto, while the work lay out of print for the purpofe of adding that part whereof is entitled, The Difpofal of a Perfon's Bllate by Will and Tefiament; whereoa as well as on the former fubjeets, very confiderable improvements being' made, the work is rendered far more extenfively ufeful than heretofore.
