"The Inner Man" is Peter O'Connor's fifth book. Previously he has introduced the general reader to male mid-life crisis, understanding dreams and to the psychoanalyst Carl Jung. In this book he combines all these elements in an attempt to plumb the psyche of contemporary man and to discover through dream analysis and myth where men have lost their way and how they might find it again. Through dreams and myths O'Connor leads men to reconsider their approach to their lives, to look at the images and stories that one's unconscious throws up, via dreams especially, and to learn from what they can tell us. While this book is directed to men, it should also be equally valid for women who want to increase their understanding of men.
