Flynn enjoys traveling, reading, playing games with his wife, and wrestling with his four children--Isaac, Peter, Rachel, and Hannah. Flynn and his family live in Eagan, Minnesota. A prolific writer for The Child's World, Flynn also writes under the pen name A. R. McHugh.
