After speaking of the extreme agony he had during the suffocating fit, he uttered aloud an earnest prayer to God that, for Christ's sake, he might not have a repetition Of that agony. I said I wished that he would pray as earnestly for an increase Of faith. He said If I had not faith I should not pray in that way at all; I should not expect my prayers to be answered if I had not a little faith.' Some time after he prayed very earnestly for an increase Of faith, and for love to God for all that He had done for him.
