It adjoined the lot on which stood the meeting house of that period. The frontispiece is a View of this old burying ground as it now appears, Abbott street having been constructed through it. In the middle is the private lot of Rev. John Hale, and near it are the tombs of several of the early ministers of Beverly. 5;the following are all the inscriptions now to be found in the cemetery bearing dates prior to 1800.
