Author Biography:

Born in Oxford, John Mariner was educated on the Isle of White before joining the Royal Air Force as an Halton Apprentice at the age of 16. His later service in the Royal Air Force brought him into touch with Inflight Navigation Bombing Systems. In 1972 he was seconded to Oxfam where he continued to work after his retirement from the Royal Air Force. He still lives in Oxfordshire and is currently adding to his growing list of exciting books.
