The Departed is one of my favourite movies from the last 18 months (be it on DVD or at the movies) And about time finally Martin Scorcese wins an Oscar for a film based on a Hong Kong smash classic “Infernal affairs” With Scorcese being able to score a top notch cast like this and a great story it's worth 2 & 1/2 hrs and $15 admission (or $35 if you brought the dvd or $8 if you decide to rent)
What sucks about the DVD is the lack of or very bare bones special features available on the departed except for the deleted scenes and the trailer. Come on Warner Bros, great film yet you got little or nearly no special features? Kind of a waste of a 2nd DVD.
other than that it's a F***ing good movie overall. Congrats Marty you deserve it.
