Author Biography

Thomas E. Sherer Jr. is a professional cartographer and award-winning educator who teaches geography at Central Connecticut State University. He has appeared on ABC's The View as the show's geography specialist. Joseph Gonzalez has more than 25 years of experience as a reference book editor and writer. He spent 15 years on the editorial staff at Reader's Digest, and is the co-owner of an Internet antique map dealership, www.fairmaps.com.
