"Visually GOOD - Script BAD"
2 stars"

I went into this movie with high expectations. I liked Andrew Adamson's previous work and thought this would be no exception, I was wrong. Visually this film is amazing with New Zealand's landscapes being greatly showcased in an awesome fight sequence. However in saying that, to me it was far too similar to Lord of the Rings. I could just imagine Frodo running down the mountain with the Narnia characters and this heavily hurt the overall impact of the film. The major weaknesses of this film for me was both the script and the acting. The script lacked any omph and made the film drag on forever, I never stopped looking at my watch. And the acting of the three older children was definately not the best I have seen, in fact the youngest girl was the best in the whole film. This just added to the never-endingness of the whole experience. If you want to see a very visually appealing film then I highly recommend The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, but dont expect anything more than that.
