Such has been our assigned task, and to this end we have labored. We have no doubtfallen far short of our mar/q, and it is with fear and trembling that we submit this, the work of our hands. It is our hope, however, that at some time in future. Years, you, gentle reader, may have an occasion to open this book again, and that by its help you may be able to slip away from the toils and cares and worries of your business for an hour or so and to drift back to those pleasant and precious days when you were a student; and as you turn its pages, may you once more visualize old familiar sights of ours, may you hear again the clarion summons of the chapel bell, may you sit again behind your mom study table in Epworth Hall, and may you loo/e once more into smiling, carefree faces that have grown dim with the passing years.
