Mr. R. Hall, long ago celebrated in our pages for an admirable Sermon againft Atheifmf, appears on this occafion among the molt animated orators, te. Commending holinefs of life and firmnefs ot'refolu tioni. The fublime fentence, ws will gladly quit mx sewn, with that Is noble and AO gust, muocsn'r and holy, deferves to wave in let. Ters of gold on every fiandard that is railed by the defenders of Britain, or to be engraved in living eha. Raelets in the heart of every man that breathes with in its coafis. Another atriotic preacher, of high merit, is Mr yams Wal er, whofe difcourfe was de Iivered at Edtnburgh. He appears to have travelled on the continent; and, having there marked the ih fidious, as well as bloody, progrefs of the French, he firongly warns his countrymen againf't their fallacies, which are not 1e dangerous than their arms. Other preachers diltinguifhed in this duty are, Dr. Rees, Mr. S. Butler of Shrewfburyq, Mr. Pearfon, the able antagonifi of Overton, and Mr, Overtoufi' him felf. On this fubjetft, the molt oppofite Opinions meet; and to whatever denomination a man may, in other refpeets, belong, as to this infolent and atro cions invafion, he thinks, he writes, and we trufi: will glorioufly aft, as A Barron.
