"Big hitting Action!"
5 stars"

They don't call it The BIGS for nothing! Big plays, big hits and some big celebrations! This game is truly awesome. Even though I am not the biggest baseball fan in the world I enjoy this game a lot. This game caters for the fulltime baseball fan and also just to sit around and have a laugh with your mates. I like the pinball challenge, its easy to play and gets very fun and addictive. The rookie challenge is a great tutorial with lots of tips and challenges and also stops the game from getting old and boring; you can design your own rookie and as you get more points give him upgrades. I think this game is a must for sports fans and I will no doubt by BIGS 2 in the future.

"...swing for the fences?"

There might not be a Season or Franchise mode, but the arcade style of The Bigs is an extremely fun way to play a quick game or two of baseball. Extremely accessible and engaging, The Bigs captures the excitement of the big time plays that dominate baseball highlights perfectly. The games are quick to get into and complete, and the action is fast and enjoyable. Plus, the ability to take your own rookie from his first swing to the World Series is a lot of fun. If you're a baseball fan, you really should check out The Bigs.

Although i havent had the chance to play games like MLB the show (yet) i did enjoy pitching slammers as verlander.

If you simply looking to have a few hours doing some insane throws, hits and catches then this baseball game is for you.

This game is terrible. it has no season mode which is mind bogling. it makes wrong calls on a usual basis, such as foul balls being home runs and catches off the infield wall called as homers as well. in addition it doesnt have full rosters. i mean if madden 98 for nintendo 64 can have full rosters of all teams than how can a basball game for PS3 ten years later be so crappy that they dont fill rosters. especially considering the fact that baseball teams rosters have only a quarter of the amoount of players as football teams. a haphazardly created game clearly meant for making a quick buck. :(
