Gosh this book is absolutely jam packed with fantastic traditional recipes. Not too keen to try brains but I will be working my way through over the next year or so (it will take me that long – there's about 700 recipes in it!). Tried the meatballs tonight and they were scoffed by the kids :) Big thumbs up Aunt Daisy!

Parents buy this for your kids before they go flatting and make them leave their laptops at home. Great service from mighty ape. Thanks heaps
All the old favourites in a handy ring-bound book! Now I know how my grandmother made her dripping pastry for meat pies which was so delicious… Fantastic gift for new cooks to give them all the basics required to feed a family. Only wish that the original imperial measurements had also been included, I still use them:-)
I have my late grandma's 1942 version which is now fragile. The new layout has a more attractive layout – less clutter, larger font size, is easier to read with more white space on the page, and the spiral binding is very handy.
I bought it as a gift for my daughter
Exactly as described, Very fast service.
Not as good as original book recipes have been changed to much
