"Great gameplay."

Basically this game is great. The game seems to have been tweaked and it feels different to Tekken 5, not to mention the new ‘bound’ combo system and the reworking plus extra moves for the old characters. I definitely disagree with the reviewer who said it's the same as Tekken 5 DR.

Anyway, the game is not perfect. The Scenario Campaign is definitely entertaining, and I like the fact that you can do any of your chosen character's moves or even attempt to juggle your enemies. In that respect it's an improvement from Tekken 5's Devil Within game. But the graphics are very average and the story is predictable and extremely weak.

I haven't tried playing online but I hear is terrible at the moment. However a patch is apparently in the works at the time of this review, so we'll see how that works out.

Overall, as far as the 1 on 1 fighting is concerned this game is a big step up and very enjoyable. If you wanted to buy this game for any other aspect, don't get your hopes up.

"Hate it or Love it..."

Purchased on Mighty Ape

As a huge fan of Tekken previously I must say in complete honesty that It was a bit of a let down. I loved Tekken 5 and feel some of the changes have changed the fundamentals of “The King of Iron Fist Tournament” a bit too much.

The environments, graphics, and new characters are great. But are let down by a forced “Scenario Mode” that isnt that good.

Worth a try at least. A good game, no doubt, but not as good as I expected being a long time fan of previous installments.

"probably the best fighter game EVER!!"
5 stars"

Apart form getting every character at the beginning it is great! The graphics are super awsome , best ever. The added moves and people are kwl and custamizing is the best because there are tons of things to equip!! The moves when preformed look much smoother than any tekken ever ( probably any other fighter to). 2 words… BUY IT!!!!

"Disappointing"
3 stars"

Tekken 6 was definitely a disappointment. It arrived last night and we all eagerly sat down to play – but then we were hit by the huge load times and disappointed by the fact that all characters were unlocked to begin with. Keeping our chins up we played on, only to find that it was very much the same as Tekken 5 DR (in fact, exactly the same) just with a couple more characters and higher resolution stages.

Disappointing.

"awesome fighting a must have"

he game includes open voice chat with other players online, which means kids could be exposed to a broad range of inappropriate words and discussions. There's also the risk of exchanging identity information. Common Sense Media does not recommend online play for children under age 12.

"A fun Tekken game" Purchased on Mighty Ape

This is still another great Tekken game it's fast, it's addictive but why is there no unlocking characters that was the best thing with the earlier games in the series and no basic story mode you had too play the Scenario Campaign too unlock characters too use in the very short story mode and the final boss in the story why soooo hard. On the upside a heap of characters and the campaign is quite fun

Tekken 6 is a hard game to review. It has impressive graphics, a large roster of fighters, each with remarkably different fighting styles, and a plethora of game modes. However, the main campaign, although it has a relatively good storyline, is told in a pretty appalling manner. Each character has a ton of customisable appearance options, and each have over a hundred different moves to master. And that is where the problem comes from. Memorising over a hundred moves is difficult, but it can be done. However, what if you want to master more than one character- Then we are talking about thousands of different button combos. But even that, can be done with enough patience. The real problem though, is that such effort is seldom rewarded. No matter how much you practice, it is ridiculously easy for rookies to just pick up a control, bash all the buttons to their hearts content, and every now and again actually defeat you. This could be seen as a good thing, in terms of playability and what not, but I find it just plain annoying. Still, a decent game if you can pick it up cheap.

"Fun for everyone"

Big lover of the tekken fighting series. Have been since tekken 2 on ps1 came out. Following through to tekken 6 now on PS3 – the difference is immense – the difference arena's are so realistic and great music used on it too! Comparing to other tekken games released in the past the graphics on these are great plus new characters is what makes it my favourite tekken game so far.

All my family members join in and play this game including my mum who loves it!!!!!!!!

"More awesomeness"
4 stars"

I have loved tekken since the ps1 days but for me this doesn't do enough things new or interesting to really be amazing.

All the main modes are here with the best mode being ghost battles it pits you against AI that increases in difficulty as you advance.

The story mode that was meant to be the defining feature of this game falls flat and is not only annoying to control but straight boring.

All in all the this is a much more refined tekken with but ends up being very similar to other tekken titles, it also feels very slow and heavy when compared to a 2d fighter like blazblue which is not only more hardcore in terms of fighting mechanics and strategy but also more fun to play.
