Author Biography:

Christine Nuttall was a British Council English Language Officer, working with students, teachers and teacher trainers in many different countries. She directed the University of Edinburgh MSc in English Language Teaching and was also on the board of the journal Teaching Reading in a Foreign Language for many years.
