Great kit, something I could not afford in the eighties but is now very reasonably priced. Quick delivery and easy to assemble. The whole design and build is a bit like traveling back in time. It's made for bigger heavier radio gear and batteries, so should run really well with lightweight modern gear. Even comes with a motor and speed controller. Thanks Mighty Ape for saving the last one for me.
This RC model was my first, unfortunately it was destroyed. It was difficult to build as a kitset. Now I have a ready to run RC BUGGY.
Happy with car goes very well the only problem is the clear plastic body is twisted and doesn't sit straight on car since it has two bodies I'm not to concerned but would of been nice to have it straight so that's why I have given four stars .

About the Subaru BRAT
The Bi-drive Recreational All-terrain Transporter was created by Subaru in the late 1970's from their earlier 4WD station wagon model for the US market. Powered by a flat-four engine ranging from 1.6 to 1.8 liters in displacement, this pickup had the unique feature of having jump seats welded to the truck bed, which allowed it to be imported as a car instead of a truck. One of the car's more famous owners was former US President Ronald Reagan, whose red BRAT is restored and displayed at his former residence in California.
