This is a beautifully illustrated graphic novel that does a fresh take on a classic for a more modern audience and surprisingly it succeeds beautifully. This is a great comic that i probably wont be lending to my friends any time soon.

This is a very well written re-imagination of the Superman story.

Well worth a read.

"Story has most of the elements, but appears a little jumbled"

Artwork is lovely. But the story is a little disjointed. It has its differences from the more traditional versions of the mythos, and is most likely going to appeal to a more youthful demographic, but the story leaps about a bit too much.

Lois is there, but only just. Jimmy seems to get more page time than she does. And Clark's character is a little confusing. He seems really angry, even before there is cause for him to be. The villain of the piece is a corker, hope to see more of him – back story is excellent; more than enough to keep Superman on his toes.

I guess on its own, it is enjoyable; stacked against the previous versions of the characters involved, well that's open to opinion.
