"Beyond Expectations"
5 stars"

Suikoden V was just truely amazing it had a very strong story plot that was easilly able to change your emotions, it was really hard to stop playing. the game has definitely surpassed all of it's predacessors! and i believe Konami were correct when they described Suikoden V as “the greatest Suikoden saga yet!”

This game is a must for any RPG or Suikoden fan definitely well worth the purchase!!

"108 CHARACTERS!!"
5 stars"

Suikoden is one of the greatest games ever made in my opinion. It has 108 very memorable characters at you command, it has a massive world, A giant of a story and Your very own castle. In short suikoden V is a dream for any fan of rpg's and its very easy to recommend. and at the bargain price of $50 this game this is an easy purchase that will last you at least 40 hours

"pretty damn cool"

Purchased on Mighty Ape

the last suikoden i played was two and i decided it would be a good idea to see where the series was at… guess what? i DID NOT dissppoint.

a good RPG experience (if thats what your loooking for) thats unique in some ways but keeps both the classic RPG and the classic SUIKODEN feel about it.

The story plot is bloody cool, and the soundtrack aint too bad.

an all round “good” game

"This Game is an RPG Must Have!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

The Suikoden Series had me hooked from Suikoden I! There's just so much packed into these games, whether it be Character Recruitment, Rune spell casting, sea battles, land battles (or both) and building an empire. Although I missed Suikoden III (Gameplanet get some copies in!!!!).

Suikoden is DEFINITELY back on track after Suikoden IV (need I say more).

I've been playing Suikoden V for 14 hours now and I've hardly scratched the surface so there's a lot more to come I'm sure! The amount of vocal dialogue in this game is awesome, and most of the time the introduction of a new character comes with a cut scense so you get to see the real personality of each character. The storyline is rich and you really don't know which direction you'll end up heading. The difficulty has also kicked up a notch too especially the sea and land battles which makes the game more challenging.

You can also have a whopping 6 Characters in your active party and take about another 5 extra with you on missions to swap in and out when needed. That's great! It's definitely worth finding those elusive characters to recruit!

A highly reccommended game!

"Great Suikoden Game"
5 stars"

Finally, Suikoden looks back on track. Great battles with different battle formations. Like the idea with duels that you get 3 secs to choose action. Intro a little long till you start the battle, but once passed the 6 hr mark, then the fun begins. Story is average but enjoyable. Music is good, but battles are where the fun is

"Suikoden gets back to its roots."
4 stars"

If you've felt that the last couple of Suikodens have gotten a little off track you'll be pleased to know that Suikoden 5 has gone back to its roots and has more in common with Suiko 1&2 than 3&4.

The characters are involved in intriguing plots and counter-plots that will keep you guessing who the bad guys are right until the end. The characters have a depth that is subtle yet inspiring and the plot will sweep you along as your gather your 108 Stars together and equip them. And the mini-games offer plenty of things to keep you entertained.

Combat is turn-based, with several characters able to battle together in ‘cooperative attacks’ that can be devastating to your oponents. Suikoden Rune magic can destroy your enemies and this time it's as ruthless as ever. As usual, there are one-on-one duels and War on a large scale. Unfortunately the War is real-time which doesn't leave you much time to plan and carry out each of your units attacks.

All-in-all Suikoden V will inspire and delight and you'll return to it again and again.
