The game is an eye candy leap forward for street fighter fans but like most
returning players to the series its the game play that draws me back.
After what can only be described as painfully fustrating opening week the
servers are now running better. Player matches happen with in minutes. THe
matches are not always fair and you get owned by veterans of the game. Which is
a major turn off for the game but I think to enjoy this game you must embrace
losing as a learning opportunity, other wise you will throw your controller at
the screen on the first night. Trust me you will want to!
The lack of single player arcade game play is beyond dissapointing leaving
you to either online or 2 players fights as your only options.
Sony has alot to answer for with only allowing me to use legacy (PS3) arcade
sticks once that I pair it with a PS4 controller. Fustrating becuase I have
2 arcade sticks and 1 PS4 controller which meansi need to spend another $100
on a new controller. Once you have paired them you only use the options button
on your wirless controller to access the battle menu. This could have been done
on the acrade stick start buttonm but typical Sony want me to buy more sony
controllers.
I wanted to return this game in the first week but now in week 2 and that
they have sorted some of the teething problems it it only OK. Im starting to
think that online fights arent for me as I hate losing and the masters of the
game beat you with long unbloackable combos that come relentlessly and its not
uncommon to not get a hit in. For the record I have some skills im not a noob
at this game.
Hope this help someone.
