Description

A couple adjusting to differing ideas for retirement. A woman who receives a phone call from the mother who abandoned her. A man who is inadvertently drawn into his ex-wife's wedding, and many more. It has been said that truth is stranger than fiction. Indeed, the real world presents endless fascinating stories of people struggling through the unique and challenging experiences of their everyday lives. In this anthology of short fiction, author Linda M. Carpentier looks to the real world to draw startling and affecting conclusions about modern-day reality. Each story opens a window into the mindset of people's daily obstacles, telling the stories of those who may as well be your own friends, family, or neighbours just down the street. In these dramas, you will find encouragement to face life's journey with strength and hope. Stories of Our Time is sure to captivate and draw you out of your home--and into the homes of others.
