These headphones are good quality, not quite excellent though. Low frequencies are reproduced very well. Nice tight and clear bass tones. Mid to high frequencies can be a little screechy at times. Overall it's a decent sound.
The retractable microphone is a neat idea, very handy for tucking it away when not in use. I have found though, even when enabling microphone boost, that the microphone is a little on the quiet side. Plus the mic. cord doesn't quite extend as far as I'd like, perhaps it's just my chin.
Installation is a breeze, the USB soundcard makes life easy. Ideal if you have a 5.1 setup plugged in and don't intend on using the headset full time. Although if you want to plug it into a soundcard it is possible. The headphones come with normal headphone jacks, plus a headphone extension cord that you plug into the USB soundcard. So you can either plug in via USB or directly into your soundcard. Very handy.
Overall I'm pleased with the quality of the product. $200 might seem a little steep but I certainly don't regret my purchase. If you have the coin, go for it.
