Author Biography:

Peter Hays Gries is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the university of Colorado, Boulder and Co-Director of the Sino-American Security Dialogue. He is author of China's New Nationalism: Pride, Politics and Diplomacy. Stanley Rosen is Professor in the School of Political Science at the University of Southern California. He has published widely on China and his books include: Red Guard Factionalism and the Cultural Revolution in Guangzhou and Policy Conflicts in Post-Mao China: A Documentary Survey with Analysis.
