"Jedi Gaiden"
2 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I was expecting this to be the new entry in the Jedi Knight series of Star Wars games. I was disappointed to find that this is just a Ninja Gaiden clone, set in the Star Wars universe. The demo is so incredibly linear its not even funny. Seeing the tech demo's where they show how wood shatters and glass breaks properly, then the disappointment of hitting a droid with your lightsaber and it just plays the same scripted dying scene over and over.

Lightsaber fights in this is terrible, nothing like in Jedi Outcast. The force powers might make up for it a little bit. I so wanted to like this game but so far it looks really average.

"Another "so-so" Star Wars game"
2 stars"

I have to admit when I saw the trailer and viewed a couple of the development diaries for this game, I thought the putting in extreme force powers would be a great addition to Star wars games. The key word here is ADDITION; being something that is added to enhance a successful formula. However, this game excludes some of the things that made a few prior star wars games good.

After seeing the revolution in AI and how the environment reacts to things in this game, I was eager to have a go, and downloaded the demo on xbox live. Unfortunately the game itself isn't as good at it makes it self out to be. Your character is driven to one linear path throghout the whole game, where you move forward, kill something using only one of two methods (lightsaber or force powers), then move on to the next thing you have to kill.

The biggest flaw this game suffers from is repetition. I found myself becoming bored half way through the demo because of the limited ways to dispatch enemies. Regardless of the great force power effects this game is just another (of many) Star Wars title that fails to impress. No rose among the thorns here, just another thorn.

"One of the best Star Wars games"
5 stars"

I've just completed the demo and I can say it is nothing short of amazing. Incredibly fun! I love the level-up system – Really makes you feel it is your own character. The force powers are out of this world, you just completely tear up both the Imperials and Rebels. If you enjoy the Star Wars games like myself then you will love this. I think if the game continues to be just as good as the demo then we are set for one of the best Star Wars games to date.

"Great star wars fun"
4 stars"

Downloaded and played the demo (Three times through), LOVED IT, I had low expectations for this game but i found it really fun. It was linear but thats not really a bad thing as it simply directs you towards more action where you can lay the smack down with you light saber or Force powers.. There is a ton of stuff to use as weapons, You just rip things from the walls, and through them at enemies, you can pick up storm troopers and through them at other storm troopers..

Its not really that revolutionary by next gen standards or star wars game standards but its a really fun action game.

Im ordering it now.
