Star Wars Battlefront II reviews

Don't be fooled into believing Battlefront 2 is more suited towards multiplayer. Not only is there a large campaign mode, which follows a group of Clone Troopers all the way from the end of the Clone Wars up until Empire Strikes Back, but there's also a strategic Conquer the Galaxy mode. In this mode, you choose which ever side you want: The Separatists, The Republic, The Empire or The Rebels, and move from planet to planet, invading and defending various territory. And although the core of the game is first/third person shooter ground missions, there are also plenty of intense space battles along the way.

And what happens when you complete all that? You still have plenty of mission points to gain for your player profile, which unlock special weapons and bonuses that you can use in battles.

To be honest, there's not much I can find wrong with it. With the above modes it's a decent length, the graphics aren't bad, all the memorable characters and vehicles are there, the ground battles are very entertaining and the space battles are spectacular…well, aside from having to bomb an enemy command ship's critical systems over and over to win most space battles, which can get a little tedious after a while. But even if you get bored of that, just fly into their hangar, run around their ship and bring them down from the inside.

Basically, this is a very well designed, entertaining game, whether you are a Star Wars fan or not.

A game so good, that it will make people who hate star wars… love star wars! One of the best selling star wars games ever made and I think the best game they have made! A really good campian and multiyplayer!

A real winning title!

This game is very fun and great for battleing on. The missions are quite basic but heaps of fun. Battleing with lots of starwars units and jedi, capturing spawn points, using tanks and other weapons to help your team take control of the battle feild and defeat the opposing team.

BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT Doesn't matter if u have seen the films or not,its fantastic for any member of the younger generation you can mod this game and add so many cool maps and weapons. It's a little rough around the edges sure, but that doesn't matter when you're focused on playing such a well laid out game. Not the best graphics, but good enough to enjoy it to its full extent, then mod it to get 100+ more hours. My only gripe is the single player campaign, it is not the funnest aspect and it sometimes feels like a chore.

A Fantastic Game You Must buy it

If you haven't played this game I would recommend it. The single player campaign is fun and certainly worth a playthrough.

It plays somewhat like the battlefeild series for a loose idea of the type of game, but you get to okay as a jedi (with the obvious things that go along with that) in a star wars universe…

The battles are fun, and you can like on point streaks transform into a jedi (light or dark depending on the side) and you can also lan this up (not sure what the online community would be like after this many years)

Basically I recommend it to anyone who likes open shooters or star wars.

Game is very well done, great graphics and gameplay

This is a fantastic old school game, it has a very simple but fun shooter base to it, with a great feeling to it. Being ‘just another’ soldier with equal everything as everyone else, makes coming first all the more rewarding! Only let down is the ps2 type graphics that I for one was not used to compared to games made nowadays… But overall a great game to buy and relive the old days, just as much fun now as it was then!

The sequel to Star Wars Battlefront is better than ever, improved graphics, more weapons and in some of the nicely rendered environments you get to ride around in different vehicles which always makes your job a lot easier. I did say easier but on higher difficulty this game will still be a challenge.

If you loved the first game then this is a must have !!!

An extremely fun and enjoyable game. Easy to install and get right into. The multiplayer aspect of it wasn't too impressive, but the single player is definitely worth it. You can play as anyone of your favourite characters or even just as a soldier in the clone army, it's all up to you. All in all i'd give this game a 9/10, everything was perfect except the multiplayer aspect which was a little disappointing.

Star wars battlefront 2 provides good all round entertainment which you will go back to. There is a good selection of weapons,vehicles and characters and the space battles are the icing on the cake. The campaign is based around 501st clone troopers and follows them through clone wars and galactic empire campaigns with just the right amount of storyline to add a sense of purpose. The different selections of skirmish game types can either be played with the clones wars or the galactic empire characters from both sides with all the unique weaponary to experiment with.

There are many different options for single player skirmishes as well as styles of game play, depending what you feel like. The characters can be upgraded which gives you motivation to go back to it, and they come in handy at the highest difficulty(again adding a little more variety). The main reason I keep going back to it is because they A.I. still manages to throw a curve ball at you every now and again victory is something have to fight for.

There is a good range of battlefields encompassing all the different environments from the clones wars and the galactic empire. They offer their own unique challenges which forces you to change your tactics again adding to the appeal of the game. This makes you have to think occasionally about what you are doing. On the other hand mindless slaughter can be easily arranged using the different options.

It is worth buying and easily pays for itself in entertainment value. May the force be with you.
