Description

This is the only official novelisation of the blockbuster big screen incarnation of Spider-Man, due to hit the screens in May 2002. When Peter Parker is bitten by a genetically altered spider on a school science trip, he becomes endowed with superhuman powers of strength and agility with an ESP-like 'spider sense'. Peter is grief-stricken when his beloved Uncle Ben is killed by a burglar and takes to heart some advice his uncle once gave him 'with great power, comes great responsibility' and Peter chooses to use his extraordinary powers to fight crime. When Spider-Man comes across his arch-enemy and faces the homicidal evil of the Green Goblin, his special powers and resolve to help innocent people are tested to the ultimate limit.
