Fay is besottedly, devotedly in love with her boss, Grant Tyrrell, but while he sees her as a very highly valued employee, that seems to be all. He has, however, offered her a top job in his prestigious advertising company. Grant's invitation to a house party seems promising, but proves more than a little confusing. Is he in a relationship with Selina, or not? Does he love Fay, or is he even interested? The signals are mixed and all wrong. Meanwhile, Grant's business partner, the oily Liam, is trying to stake a claim to Fay, while sabotaging her success at work. When everyone seems to love the wrong person, everything gets very complicated and Grant's over-efficient assistant, Dee, seems to conspire to ensure everything will get more so.
