Stella Osammor is a lawyer by training and a member of the British Law Society. She worked as a journalist in the 70s with the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation, Lagos. She's been resident in Britain since 1983 and lives with her husband and family. Her first novel "The Triumph of the Water Lily" was in the final shortlist of the Association of Nigerian authors (ANA) award 1996; a 'bestseller' and used as a literary text by educational institutions in Nigeria. Her second novel Silhouettes of a Treasured Heritage is a recommended text for second cycle schools in Ghana and was also a recommended reading text at Princeton University USA.
